Crying a river: my expierences with the 4.0 ipod update.

This is a story of my expiences with the 4.0 update on my ipod touch. I realized that one day I had to update to 4.0 in order to download certain apps. My facebook app, the app I deleted to reinstall, needed my ipod touch to be updated with the 4.0 update. So because of this I had to let itunes update my ipod touch. It sat on my computer for almost 2 hours. With that said, it took way longer than my other times I updated. When I took it out for a spin, I noticed some icons changed on the home menu. Not a bad start. So what I did was I went to youtube and tried to watch some of the secret of bryce manor videos. And boy this was when the 4.0 nightmare began. The video had froze. However, the video timer kept going. No sounds no movement of the video. Okay, that was my first part of the nightmare. So I went to hunger mode on Spider. I wanted to listen to my music while playing it so I double-tapped the home button. I end up getting sent back to the music section. I recalled that double-tapping opens up a small little box that all I had to do was press the play button, then click ok. Now I can't do that. I can't listen to music while playing spider or any other game. That already sucks. But it gets worse. I went to an app called funny pics. And the next thing I know is that I got sent back to the home menu, and another app randomly starts. Freaky and not cool! A few days later, I went to dailymotion to watch movies. And again, the video froze and I got sent back to the home menu. I gotta tell ya folks, I'm really not liking 4.0. Everything was fine until I updated from 2.0, to 3.0, to 4.0. It is driving me crazy. I miss my old version ipod touch.

That sounds like a miserable experience F-22. The iOS4 isn't out for iPad yet, so unfortunately I can't tell you how it works for me. Anyone have any ideas for our raptor friend?

Just womdering, does apple throughly test their products closely to detects bugs? I gotta find their website and report these glitches.

This late response was due to constant type-o's that was never a problem until 4.0 and I got sent back to the home menu while this page was loading.

My internet got disconnected while I was deleting a spammer.

Well during my absence I did discover a few things:

That small box only appears when I play the music first, then double click the home button.

My photo library now has to LOAD.

Some apps can play music. They have to have "multitasking".
